- Goal:
Vulnerable populations in the middle and high hills of Mid and Far Western Nepal are food secure
5.1 Purposes:
- Improved health and nutrition status for vulnerable households, despite exposure to shocks and stresses
- Increased income for vulnerable households, despite exposure to shocks and stresses
3. Increased food availability among vulnerable communities, despite exposure to shocks and stresses - Building Resilient Communities:
PAHAL defines resilience as the capacity to learn, cope, adapt and transform in the face of shocks and stresses
Capacity:
- Absorptive– to help people, households or systems better prepare to respond and recover from existing shocks and stresses;
- Adaptive– mitigating and adapting the effects of shocks and stresses over time;
- Transformative– enhancing the enabling environment to maximize access to and use of absorptive or adaptive capacities
